Admission Requirements and Procedure

At Dalom School, our admissions process is structured to ensure every child admitted receives the best start to an exceptional educational journey. We welcome applications from families who share our vision for academic excellence, moral integrity, and holistic development.

Admission is open to:

  • Crèche (3 months+), Nursery, Primary, Junior Secondary, and Senior Secondary levels
  • Both Day and Boarding options (available from Primary 4 upwards)

Admission Requirements:

  • Completed Application Form (online or paper-based).
  • Two recent passport photographs
  • Copy of birth certificate or sworn affidavit
  • Last term’s report card or transcript (for Primary and Secondary applicants)
  • Medical report or immunisation record (especially for young learners)

Procedure:

  1. Purchase or download the application form via our website or school office.

  1. Submit the completed form with the required documents.
  2. Schedule and attend a placement test (for Primary and Secondary levels).
  3. Attend an interview with the Admissions Officer (and/or Head of School).
  4. If successful, you will receive an offer of admission along with fees schedule and joining instructions.

Parents are encouraged to tour the school before or during the application process to experience our learning environment first-hand. Our admissions office is available to guide you every step of the way.

EXAMINATION DATES

Entrance and placement examinations are critical parts of our admissions process for Primary and Secondary applicants. These tests help us assess a child’s academic readiness and determine the best placement level.

Examination Levels:

  • Nursery 1 and 2
  • Basic 1 to 5
  • JSS 1, JSS 2
  • SS1and SS2 (Subject-based screening)

Examination Dates:
We conduct examinations based  on request and the five main entrance examination windows annually:

  • 1st Batch: May (First Wednesday of the month)
  • 2nd Batch: June (Third Friday of the month)
  • 3rd Batch: July (Second Wednesday of the month)
  • 4th Batch: August (Second Wednesday of the month)
  • 5th Batch: August (Last Friday of the month)

All tests take place at both our Odo-Ona and Felele campuses, including the Dalom CBT Centre for senior applicants. Exams begin promptly at 9:00 a.m. Candidates are advised to arrive by 8:15 a.m. with their writing materials and exam slips.

Subjects Tested:

  • English Language
  • Mathematics
  • General Paper / Quantitative/Verbal Reasoning (for lower levels)
  • Oral Interview

Parents will receive exam reminders and venue information via SMS and email. Results are usually released within five working days.
