E-Library
Students can now enjoy reading in our library, both in print and online! They can sit comfortably with printed books or simply click to access the same titles and thousands more on the laptops in our e-library. From captivating stories to essential textbooks, there’s something for every mood. They also have access to educational videos, games, interactive pictures, the latest encyclopedias, and a world of global information at their fingertips.
College Uniform: As we gear up for the new term, we’re excited to introduce a fresh addition to our college wear: the suit top. Designed to promote a smart and professional appearance, this new piece blends comfort with style, making it perfect for classes, presentations, and other academic activities. The suit top will be part of the approved dress code from the beginning of the term, and we believe it will inspire confidence and a sense of responsibility among our students. This suit top will be worn on Mondays and Tuesdays.
Programming/ ICT Classes
The extracurricular activity has been introduced and an expert trainer has been recruited to lead it. Students from Basic 3 now begin with simple drag-and-drop coding classes. As they progress, they advance to writing short lines of real code and eventually build their own games and apps. Tech skills are the future and at Dalom School, we start training them early.
Daily Report Book
Exclusive to our crèche and daycare, this report book captures every detail of your child’s day from class activities, meals, naps, and health checks to mood and behavior. Parents now receive a full update at pick-up, keeping communication clear and nothing forgotten.
Language Classes in the ICT Lab
English (phonics), Yoruba, and French will now be taught in our ICT Lab! Our screen will display letters, words, and sounds, while each student uses headphones to listen, repeat and learn. This helps them read and understand faster and makes learning both local and international languages easier and more fun. It’s a great step forward!
E-Learning Portal and CBT
In this era of internet technology and reduced paper works; we are currently using a digital learning technology to allow parents to check results, access CBT exam, check out lesson plan, electronic notes, online assignment, attendance and other behavioral performance right from your mobile phone. All midterm examination and objective questions of the final examinations are conducted with CBT.
Literacy Club
We are excited to announce our literacy club. The goal is to cultivate a love for reading and writing among students. Through engaging activities, such as book discussions, creative writing sessions, news casting, and storytelling, we aim to enhance language skills and critical thinking abilities. The club will also promote teamwork, communication, and self-expression. We believe this initiative will not only enrich your child’s academic experience but also foster a lifelong passion for learning. We invite you to support us in this endeavor and encourage your child to join us on this literary adventure!
Extracurricular Activities
We are excited to continue ballet, taekwondo, and chess classes as part of our extracurricular activities for the third term. These programs continue to enhance our students’ overall development by promoting creativity, discipline, and critical thinking. Ballet has helped students build confidence, flexibility, and poise. Taekwondo develops their physical fitness, self-discipline, and self-defense skills. Chess has challenged their minds, boosting problem-solving and strategic thinking abilities. We encourage parents to support their children in participating in these enriching activities. Registration is ongoing, kindly contact the secretary. Let’s work together to nurture well-rounded, talented students!
School Lunch
School lunch is important to student’s health and well-being. Studies show that taking a lunch break allows pupils/students mind to rest, recharge and refocus which can directly improve productivity for the rest of the day. We urge the parent to pay for the school meal so that their children can be fed as this contributes positively to the effective activeness of the children in the school.
